Jim Wayne

Website Consultant and Digital Marketing Professional
Let's Connect
Digital production and marketing professional with seven-plus years of experience with eCommerce startups, social media firms and advertising agencies of all stripes. I have been in the trenches with talented minds and forward-thinking groups and possess an eclectic skill set, a tireless work ethic and an itch to contribute to the next big thing.

The Basics

Master's degree-holding digital production and marketing professional with over seven years' professional experience across the advertising, digital media and tech industries. I excel in fast-paced, understaffed startup atmospheres, and am eager to contribute my broad skill set and wide-ranging professional background to a forward-thinking organization that inspires me and plays to my strengths, be it another startup or a more established firm. In the meantime, I am self-employed as a freelance website consultant and developer for small businesses and independent professionals.
I recently left a role at a startup social commerce company, BeachMint, where I wore many hats and played a principal role in the development of the company's budding MLM program. In July 2011, BeachMint acquired the social commerce startup at which I had previously worked. That company was incubated by the social media marketing firm at which I was hired the year prior, a few months after completing a master's degree in online journalism at USC's Annenberg School of Journalism and Communication. I have a strong editorial background to complement an eclectic digital production skill set and a web-savvy business and marketing sense.
